Veterans get business boot camp in St. John's

CBC St. John's: When Phillip Guy got injured in Afghanistan and had to leave the military, he wasn't sure what to do with his life. But a few months later, he's now on track to open his own gaming store in Conception Bay South.

Guy is one of 19 veterans in St. John's this week for a "business boot camp," learning the skills they need to start their own entrepreneurial venture.

It's designed to help veterans start a new career after the military — a feat that's often far from easy.

"Reverting back to civilian life is really tough," said Guy.

"You go from a complete structure to, all at once, where everything and everything can happen. It's a complete 180."
